Product Description

The SWOZI Pico GPS Line Marker is built for clubs that want to move away from strings and measuring tapes without jumping straight to full robotic automation. It delivers GPS-guided accuracy in a compact, manageable format that still feels familiar to operate.

Designed for one-person use, the SWOZI Pico allows you to plan and mark pitches independently, with repeatable accuracy and significantly reduced marking time. For grassroots clubs managing one or more fields, it offers a practical step into digital line marking.

Designed for Clubs That Want Proper GPS From Day One

The SWOZI Pico is built around GPS-assisted marking as standard. Unlike upgrade-ready machines, this model is designed from the outset to guide your layout digitally, reducing reliance on measuring tapes, pegs and string lines.

It is still pushed by the operator, but the GPS-controlled spray arm handles line accuracy. That balance makes it ideal for clubs that want precision and time savings without moving into full robotic automation.

One Person. One Field. Minimal Setup.

For many grassroots clubs, marking is done by one volunteer with limited time. The Pico is designed around that reality. With over 100 field templates available, layouts can be selected digitally and marked consistently week after week.

  • Semi-autonomous (pushed) operation with GPS guidance
  • Single antenna GPS with RTK support (subscription required)
  • Over 100 sports field templates
  • Up to 75% time saving compared to traditional string methods

That time saving becomes especially noticeable when remarking multiple pitches or adjusting layouts during the season.

Accuracy Without Complication

The Pico combines a robust GPS antenna with a spray arm designed to deliver straight, repeatable lines. The spray head allows tool-free line width adjustment, and swivelling guide plates enable marking right up to goalposts without awkward repositioning.

If GPS reception is limited in certain areas, the machine can also operate with an optional laser tracker, giving added flexibility for enclosed or signal-challenged sites.

Three large ball-bearing wheels provide smooth rolling movement, and the galvanised steel frame gives the machine a planted, durable feel. It remains manually controlled, but layout accuracy is digitally supported.

Paint, Power and Practical Ownership

The storage area accommodates one or two paint canisters (up to 2 × 10L), suitable for marking multiple pitches in one session. The system is compatible with liquid paints from major manufacturers, so you are not restricted to a closed supply chain.

A long-life 12V / 25Ah battery is supplied as standard, with the option to run a second battery for extended sessions. The integrated rinsing mode simplifies cleaning and helps protect the pump and spray components over time.

Where the SWOZI Pico Sits in the Range

The Pico sits above the manual SWOZI Evo, offering built-in GPS from the start rather than as a later upgrade. If you already know you want digital layout and repeatable accuracy, Pico is the more direct route.

For organisations managing more sites or wanting greater configuration flexibility, the SWOZI Pro is the next model up. Pro is better suited to heavier or more varied workloads, but for most grassroots clubs with one or more pitches, the Pico covers the requirement without stepping into contractor-level complexity.

Who It Suits

  • Football and rugby clubs managing one or more pitches
  • Schools and academies with regular remarking schedules
  • Clubs looking to remove string-line marking completely
  • Organisations wanting predictable marking times

If you expect the machine to drive itself, that is the territory of the SWOZI Auto. The Pico remains operator-guided. But if your goal is accurate, repeatable GPS marking with manageable investment and simple operation, it sits in the sweet spot of the range.

Proper Setup Matters

The SWOZI Pico is a GPS-assisted system, so correct setup is important. Groundtech supports you through installation, initial calibration and template configuration so the machine works as intended from the start.

If RTK support is required, we’ll explain subscription options clearly before purchase so there are no unexpected running costs later.

Ongoing Support and Spares

The Pico is built for regular use, but it still needs proper cleaning and sensible maintenance. Groundtech can supply genuine parts, advise on batteries, and help with spray system or GPS queries if they arise.

If you are marking weekly throughout the season, having experienced backup makes a difference.

Planning the Next Step

If your workload increases or you begin managing multiple sites, we can help you assess whether stepping up to the SWOZI Pro would be worthwhile. Equally, if you are moving from manual marking for the first time, we’ll ensure the Pico is the right fit before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions About the SWOZI Pico

Does the SWOZI Pico work without GPS?

Yes. It can be operated manually, but its main advantage comes from GPS-assisted marking for accurate, repeatable layouts.

Is the SWOZI Pico fully automatic?

No. The Pico is semi-autonomous. The operator pushes the machine while GPS controls line accuracy.

Does it require a subscription?

If using RTK network support for higher accuracy, a GPS subscription is required. Groundtech can advise on setup and costs before purchase.

How many pitches can it mark in one session?

With space for up to two 10L paint containers and a full-day battery capacity, the Pico is suited to marking multiple pitches in one session, depending on layout and paint usage.

What happens if GPS reception is poor?

The Pico can be used with an optional laser tracker where GPS signal is limited, providing added flexibility for enclosed or difficult locations.
