More about Honda

Choosing a Honda Miimo for Your Lawn

The Honda Miimo range is designed around different lawn sizes and layouts. GroundTech stocks the Miimo 1000, 1500 and 2500, giving you a straightforward progression from smaller domestic lawns through to larger gardens approaching 3,000m².

Honda Miimo 1000

The Miimo 1000 is designed for lawns up to 1,000m². It is the natural starting point for smaller and medium-sized gardens where you want automated mowing without buying capacity you are unlikely to use. Bluetooth connectivity allows settings and mowing schedules to be managed from a smartphone.

Honda Miimo 1500

For lawns up to 1,500m², the Miimo 1500 increases the available mowing capacity and adds Honda’s shortcut wire system. This helps the mower take more direct routes through narrow passages and back towards the charging station, which can be useful on gardens with more complicated layouts.

Honda Miimo 2500

Despite the model name, the Miimo 2500 is rated for lawns up to 3,000m². It adds flexible docking alongside Bluetooth connectivity and shortcut wire navigation, making it better suited to larger gardens where charging station position and efficient movement around the lawn become more important.

Designed for Real Garden Conditions

Miimo is not limited to completely flat, open lawns. Honda rates the Miimo 1000, 1500 and 2500 for slopes of up to 25 degrees or 47%, although the condition of the ground and the way a slope meets lawn edges should still be considered when choosing and setting up a robotic mower.

Boundary Wire Installation

These Miimo models use a perimeter wire to define the mowing area. Correct wire positioning is important around borders, trees, flower beds, ponds and other areas the mower needs to avoid. For gardens with narrow passages or several awkward sections, it is worth planning the installation properly before simply choosing a mower based on lawn area.

Need Help Choosing a Honda Robot Mower?

GroundTech specialises in robotic mowing, so if you are deciding between the Miimo 1000, 1500 and 2500, consider more than the total square metres. Lawn shape, slopes, narrow sections and charging station location can all affect which machine will work best in practice.
