The Sunseeker Elite X4 is a premium wire-free robot mower built for homeowners who want smarter navigation, cleaner mowing patterns and a simpler setup. Designed for lawns up to 1,200m², it combines 360° 3D LiDAR, Vision AI and automatic 3D lawn mapping to deliver precise, consistent mowing without boundary wires or antenna stations.
The X4 sits neatly between the smaller X3 range and the larger X5, making it a strong option for customers who want more intelligence and stronger terrain handling without stepping up to a bigger machine. With Drop & Go setup, advanced obstacle detection, and smart route planning, it is built for real gardens rather than perfect rectangles.
One of the biggest selling points of the X4 is how easy it is to get started. Sunseeker positions it as “No Wire No Antenna, Drop and Go”, meaning there is no boundary wire to bury and no antenna station to install. Connect it in the Sunseeker app and the mower can start mapping and working in minutes.
The X4 uses a 360° 3D LiDAR + Vision AI dual fusion sensing system rather than relying on a single sensor. Sunseeker says it captures over 210,000 point clouds per second, helping the mower build a real-time 3D map for accurate positioning, steadier navigation day and night, and more reliable mowing in difficult environments.
The X4 is designed to mow systematically rather than randomly. It uses intelligent path planning, creates neat mowing lines, and can automatically split complex lawns into efficient zones. Sunseeker also highlights Edge-Reach and Ride-On cutting modes to improve edge performance and overall coverage.
This mower is better suited to uneven, more demanding spaces than many standard domestic robots. It can handle slopes up to 45% / 24°, has rear-wheel suspension, off-road traction, and obstacle clearance up to 4 cm. The floating cut system also helps it maintain a more even finish across varied ground.
The X4 includes multi-zone management, no-go zones, app control, anti-theft lift alert, rain detection, OTA updates, low-noise operation, and support for Alexa / Google Assistant. It also returns to charge automatically and can resume mowing from where it left off.
The X4 gives GroundTech a strong mid-range option in the Sunseeker lineup. It offers a noticeably more advanced sensing package than the X3 models, while staying more accessible than the X5 and X7 ranges. For customers who want wire-free setup, stronger obstacle handling, premium navigation and better slope performance, it fills an important gap in the range.
If the customer has a smaller, simpler garden, the Sunseeker X3 / X3 Plus may be enough. If they need more coverage, the X5 handles up to 2,000m², while the X7 / X7 Plus is aimed at large, demanding gardens and can cover up to 6,000m².

Operating autonomously for up to 24 hours a day, allowing each task to be completed at a time that best suits you and your schedule and alleviating the pressure on manual labour.
The light footprint of the robot allows it to work on even the softest ground, retaining the playability and presentation of your facility no matter the challenges posed by mother nature.
Engineered to not only save on fuel and staff hours, GroundTech’s robotic solutions deliver a precise cut and quality finish worthy of first-class sport or picture-postcard experiences.
The hood and main body of the robot is insulated to deliver efficiency and effectiveness with minimal noise – ideal for working at night or in built up areas with no disruption.
The robot consumes up to 90% less energy than a standard mower. In addition, the clippings returned to the surface can also reduce the requirement for fertiliser and other chemical applications.
Mowing more frequently and consistently will being multiple benefits to the turf surface. A ‘little and often’ approach improves presentation, increases sward density & prevents weed ingress.
