Product Description

The Sunseeker Elite X3 Gen 2 is a compact, intelligent robot mower built for everyday gardens. Designed for lawns up to 800 m², it combines upgraded Vision AI, AONavi™ 2.0 navigation and app-based control into a quiet, easy-to-use package. If you want clean cuts, minimal effort and no boundary wires, the X3 Gen 2 offers a simple, reliable solution.

Why Choose the Sunseeker X3 Gen 2?

Smart enough for tight layouts, capable of navigating around everyday obstacles and easy to manage from your phone — the X3 Gen 2 is ideal for low-maintenance lawn care at home. With smarter navigation, improved edge cutting and built-in 4G protection, it’s a worthwhile upgrade from the original X3.

Best For:

  • City & Town Gardens: Compact enough for narrow paths, corners and smaller lawns.
  • Family Homes: Vision AI helps the mower recognise and navigate around everyday garden obstacles.
  • Busy Lifestyles: Automatically charges, responds to rain and follows your mowing schedule.
  • Second Homes / Holiday Lets: Built-in 4G connectivity and remote app management make it easier to keep your lawn tidy while you’re away.
  • Anyone Sick of Wires: No boundary wires or separate RTK antenna to install. Just create your virtual boundaries using the app.

Smart Navigation, No Wires or Antenna

Forget tangled cables and complicated installations. The X3 Gen 2 uses AONavi™ 2.0 with network RTK (nRTK) and VSLAM to navigate your garden accurately. Unlike the original X3, there’s no separate RTK base station to install or position around your property.

Set up virtual boundaries, create no-go zones and customise your mowing schedule through the Sunseeker app. You can now manage unlimited mowing zones instead of the original six, making it easier to look after separate lawns and more complicated garden layouts.

Intelligent route planning helps the mower cover your lawn efficiently, avoiding unnecessary repeated passes. You can also choose different mowing angles to create a more consistent finish.

AI Obstacle Avoidance That Works

Thanks to its binocular Vision AI camera, the X3 Gen 2 doesn’t simply bump into objects and reverse like older robotic mowers. It can detect everyday garden obstacles, from footballs to flowerpots, and adjust its route to work around them.

The upgraded 10 TOPS processor delivers twice the processing capability of the previous generation, helping the mower respond more quickly to its surroundings. The result? Fewer interruptions, smarter navigation and less time spent managing your mower.

Closer Edge Cutting, Less Tidying Up

One of the biggest improvements on the X3 Gen 2 is its Precise Edge cutting system. Designed to trim as close as 3 cm from suitable lawn boundaries, it helps reduce the strips of uncut grass left beside paths, patios and garden edges.

There’s also a choice of mowing modes to help you get the finish you want:

  • Multi-Angle Cutting: Change the mowing direction to improve coverage and create different lawn patterns.
  • Spot Mowing: Target smaller areas that need an extra cut without mowing the entire lawn again.
  • Boundary Cutting: Follow your virtual lawn boundaries for a neater finish around the edges.
  • Ride-On Boundary Cutting: Cut closer along suitable lawn edges where the mower can safely travel over the boundary.

Handles Uneven Lawns with Ease

With front-wheel drive and the ability to tackle slopes up to 17° (30%), the X3 Gen 2 is well suited to gardens with gentle hills and uneven ground.

Sunseeker has also improved the chassis, introducing larger rear steering wheels and a raised front bumper to help the mower navigate bumps and changes in terrain. The floating cutting disc follows the contours of your lawn, helping maintain an even finish.

Rain in the forecast? The X3 Gen 2 features automatic rain detection and an IPX5 water-resistant body, helping it manage changing garden conditions.

Clean Finish, Quiet Operation

The 20 cm cutting width and adjustable 20–60 mm cutting height make it easy to keep your grass neat and tidy. Its three-blade cutting system operates at 2,500 RPM, while the manual height adjustment lets you choose your preferred lawn finish.

Running at just 60 dB(A), the X3 Gen 2 is quiet enough for regular daytime mowing without the noise of a petrol mower. It also returns automatically to its charging station when it needs more power.

Built-In 4G and Anti-Theft Protection

Unlike the original X3, which required an optional 4G upgrade, the X3 Gen 2 includes the S Connect Module as standard.

That means built-in GPS tracking, adjustable geofencing and alerts if the mower moves outside its designated area. You can keep an eye on your mower remotely, giving you extra peace of mind when you’re away from home.

Two years of nRTK and 4G service are included with the mower. After this period, an annual subscription is required to continue using these services.

What’s Upgraded from the Original X3?

The original X3 was already a capable little mower, but the Gen 2 brings some worthwhile improvements. Sunseeker has upgraded the navigation, cutting system and connectivity, making everyday mowing simpler and giving you more control over your lawn.

  • No Separate RTK Antenna: AONavi™ 2.0 now uses network RTK, removing the need to install and position an external base station.
  • Smarter Vision AI: An upgraded 10 TOPS processor offers twice the processing capability of the original model for more responsive obstacle avoidance.
  • Closer Edge Cutting: The new Precise Edge system can cut as close as 3 cm to suitable lawn boundaries, leaving less grass to tidy up afterwards.
  • Built-In 4G: The S Connect Module is now standard, with GPS anti-theft protection and two years of nRTK and 4G service included.
  • Unlimited Mowing Zones: No longer restricted to six zones, giving you more freedom to manage different lawn areas.
  • Larger Battery: Increased from 4 Ah on the original X3 to 5 Ah on the Gen 2.
  • Improved Handling: Larger 90 mm rear steering wheels, increased from 70 mm, and a redesigned chassis help the mower cope with uneven ground.

It’s still the compact, quiet X3, just with fewer installation headaches, smarter navigation and a cleaner finish around the edges.

Value for Money

The Sunseeker X3 Gen 2 packs plenty of smart technology into a compact, easy-to-manage mower. With wire-free setup, intelligent obstacle detection, closer edge cutting and built-in anti-theft protection, it’s ideal for homeowners who want a tidy lawn without spending their weekends mowing.

There’s no boundary wire to bury, no RTK antenna to install and no petrol to worry about. Set your mowing schedule, choose your preferred cutting height and let the X3 Gen 2 get on with the job.

Installation and Accessories

Getting started with the X3 Gen 2 is simpler than with the original model. There’s no separate RTK antenna or perimeter wire to install, and the S Connect Module comes fitted as standard.

For additional protection, a compatible mower garage can help shelter your X3 Gen 2 while charging. You can also explore our Sunseeker Elite range for accessories and maintenance equipment.

Need More Power or Coverage?

If your garden is bigger or more demanding than the X3 Gen 2 is designed for, take a look at the larger models in the range. The Sunseeker X5 Gen 2 handles lawns up to 2,000 m², with all-wheel drive and improved slope capability.

For substantial lawns, the Sunseeker X7 Plus Gen 2 covers up to 6,000 m², offering a wider cutting system, all-wheel drive and advanced obstacle detection. Both are worth considering if you’ve got a larger, steeper or more complicated garden.
