More about Lawn Mowers

Choosing the Right Kress Cordless Mower

Kress lawn mowers range from compact push models for straightforward domestic lawns through to larger self-propelled machines built for more regular and demanding mowing. The main things to compare are lawn size, cutting width, whether you want powered drive and which Kress battery platform you already use.

Kress 40V Lawn Mowers

The Kress 40V range is the natural starting point for smaller and medium-sized gardens. GroundTech stocks the compact 37cm KG745.9 alongside the wider 41cm KG748.9, both using a push mower layout and offering bagging and mulching options.

The KG745.9 is particularly suited to smaller lawns where a lighter, narrower mower is easier to manoeuvre and store. Moving to the KG748.9 gives you a wider cutting deck and larger collection capacity, reducing the number of passes needed across a bigger lawn.

Kress 60V Lawn Mowers

Kress 60V mowers step up in cutting width, power and choice of drive. GroundTech stocks both push and self-propelled models, including 46cm and 51cm machines. A self-propelled mower is worth considering for larger lawns, slopes or anywhere you would rather let the mower drive itself than push its full weight throughout the cut.

The KG757E.9, for example, combines a 46cm deck with variable-speed rear-wheel drive, while the larger KG760E.9 uses a 51cm cutting width. These machines run on the Kress 60V battery system rather than the 20V KrossPack batteries used by the 40V mower range.

Kress Commercial Lawn Mowers

For contractors, grounds teams and other users mowing frequently throughout the working week, Kress Commercial offers dedicated 60V walk-behind machines. GroundTech stocks the KC711.9 51cm self-propelled mower, which is designed around the Kress Commercial battery and charging system rather than the domestic KrossPack platform.

Push or Self-Propelled?

A push mower keeps the machine simpler and is usually sufficient on smaller, flatter lawns. Self-propelled drive becomes more useful as the lawn gets larger, the ground becomes uneven or the mower itself gets heavier. Also check whether the mower is supplied as a bare tool, as batteries and chargers may need to be purchased separately if you are new to that Kress battery system.
