Which Kress Chainsaw Is Right for the Job?

The Kress chainsaw range covers quite different types of cutting, so start with what you actually need the saw to do. A compact pruning saw makes sense for smaller branches and regular garden maintenance, while a full-size cordless chainsaw gives you the bar length and cutting performance needed for thicker timber and more demanding work.

Compact Kress Pruning Saws

For smaller branches and controlled pruning work, the Kress 20V range includes a compact one-hand pruning saw. Its smaller bar and lighter format make it better suited to quick pruning jobs than using a full-size chainsaw where the extra size and weight are unnecessary.

Kress 40V Chainsaws

Kress 40V chainsaws are a good step up for general garden and property maintenance. GroundTech stocks 35cm models within this range, giving you a more conventional chainsaw format for cutting logs, removing larger branches and handling routine tree maintenance.

The 40V system uses compatible Kress KrossPack batteries, so these saws are particularly worth considering if you already own batteries from other Kress 20V or 40V garden machinery.

Kress 60V Chainsaws

For heavier or more regular cutting, the Kress 60V range increases the available power while keeping the convenience of a cordless machine. The KG367E.9 uses a 35cm bar and is positioned by Kress as a professional-grade saw, making it better suited to users who expect to put a chainsaw to work more frequently.

Kress Commercial Chainsaws

Kress Commercial takes the range further for landscapers, grounds teams and other professional users. The KC300.9, for example, combines a 40cm bar with the Kress 60V Commercial CyberSystem and is designed around fast battery charging and repeated use during the working day.

Before ordering, check whether the chainsaw is supplied as a bare tool and which battery platform it uses. Kress 20V and 40V tools, 60V Professional machines and Kress Commercial equipment do not all use the same battery setup.
