The Sunseeker Elite X9 Series brings professional robotic mowing to large estates, sports grounds, parks and commercial landscapes. Available as the X9 for areas up to 12,000m² per 48 hours and the X9 Plus for up to 24,000m² per 48 hours, both models combine high-capacity mowing with all-wheel drive, intelligent navigation and automatic mapping.
With AONavi™ 2.0, 360° OmniSight™, infrared night vision and the powerful ATC Pro drive system, the X9 Series is designed to keep working accurately across large, complex and demanding sites without perimeter wires or a local RTK antenna station.
The Sunseeker X9 and X9 Plus sit at the top of the Sunseeker Elite range, offering significantly greater coverage and productivity than the residential X Series. Their wide dual-disc cutting system, fast operating speed and rapid charging make them particularly well suited to sites where large areas need to be maintained consistently with less manual mowing.
The X9 Series combines centimetre-level positioning with camera and sensor-based navigation. AONavi™ 2.0 uses nRTK and VSLAM 2.0 alongside the 360° OmniSight™ system to maintain accurate positioning around trees, hedges, narrow passages and other areas where satellite reception can become more challenging.
Automatic mapping can identify the mowing area and create a working map with minimal manual setup, while intelligent path planning calculates efficient mowing routes to reduce unnecessary overlap and repeated passes.
ATC Pro combines all-wheel drive, four-wheel suspension and active rear-wheel steering to give the X9 Series stable traction across uneven and steep terrain. It can tackle slopes of up to 90% (42°), while wheel-cleaning brushes help maintain traction in muddy or debris-covered conditions.
The mower can also cross obstacles up to 5cm high, making it suitable for more demanding sites where changing ground conditions would challenge a conventional residential robot mower.
A 43cm dual-disc cutting system gives the X9 Series the width needed to cover large areas efficiently. Each floating cutting disc follows changes in the ground independently, helping maintain a consistent cut across uneven terrain.
Electronic cutting height adjustment from 20–100mm allows the mowing height to be controlled through the system, while Target Height Management can gradually reduce longer grass over multiple mowing cycles rather than attempting to remove too much growth in a single pass.
The EdgeZero™ system is designed to reduce the strip of uncut grass normally left beside suitable walls, fences and lawn boundaries. The attachment allows the mower to cut directly towards the edge at a right angle, reducing the amount of manual strimming required afterwards.
EdgeZero™ is optional on the X9 and supplied as standard with the X9 Plus.
Eight surrounding cameras and eight intelligent sensors provide the X9 Series with a 360° view of its working environment. Infrared-assisted detection extends this capability into low-light conditions, helping the mower recognise animals and other obstacles when operating at night.
This allows mowing schedules to extend beyond normal working hours — particularly useful for sports facilities, public spaces and commercial sites that are busy during the day.
Both models use the same core navigation, all-wheel-drive and cutting technology. The main difference is capacity and charging performance.
The X9 Series is designed primarily for very large and professional mowing applications. For large residential gardens and smaller estates, the Sunseeker Elite X7 Series offers the same wire-free approach in a more compact package, with models designed for areas up to 6,000m².

Operating autonomously for up to 24 hours a day, allowing each task to be completed at a time that best suits you and your schedule and alleviating the pressure on manual labour.
The light footprint of the robot allows it to work on even the softest ground, retaining the playability and presentation of your facility no matter the challenges posed by mother nature.
Engineered to not only save on fuel and staff hours, GroundTech’s robotic solutions deliver a precise cut and quality finish worthy of first-class sport or picture-postcard experiences.
The hood and main body of the robot is insulated to deliver efficiency and effectiveness with minimal noise – ideal for working at night or in built up areas with no disruption.
The robot consumes up to 90% less energy than a standard mower. In addition, the clippings returned to the surface can also reduce the requirement for fertiliser and other chemical applications.
Mowing more frequently and consistently will being multiple benefits to the turf surface. A ‘little and often’ approach improves presentation, increases sward density & prevents weed ingress.
