Old Fold Manor located in Barnet is home to 18 hole course well known for it’s greens designed by Harry Colt, approached GroundTech to discuss the possibility of using robotic mowers to maintain the whole 6,500 yards, par 71 course.
Old Fold Manor approached GroundTech to discuss the new technology and how it could help modernise the fairway maintenance on the course.
After the initial meeting with Mark we were able to understand the pressures and where the robotic mowers could help the team on site and increase the greenkeeping teams hours available to develop other areas of the course. GroundTech spent time surveying the course and where the best place for the power, each mower to operate and provide a comprehensive plan on how the fairways can be managed through the use of robotics with an even workload placed on each machine to ensure the consistency across the course for the golfers.
After a successful two-week on-site demonstration provided by GroundTech earlier in the year, Old Fold Manor took the next steps in modernising their course maintenance by signing a fully maintained lease agreement. The two-week demonstration allowed Old Fold Manor to fully evaluate performance, reliability and operational benefits.
