KR161E
Instructed by the Kress RTKn network, it navigates your lawn with centimeter-level accuracy. No need for boundary wire nor fixed reference antenna to be installed in the lawn. The dead reckoning algorithm ensures accuracy where lines of sight to the satellites are blocked by trees and buildings. Operated by the MAP (Mowing Action Plan™) technology, it efficiently manicures lawns up to 1000 ㎡.
The Kress KR161E Mission RTKn 1000 is a compact robotic mower designed for lawns up to 1,000m². It works without boundary wire, relying on satellite-guided RTKn technology to cut in straight lines and cover the full area with accuracy.
This model uses RTKn (Real-Time Kinematic network) to follow a mapped mowing area without physical wires. It sticks to a set path and works through the lawn zone by zone, giving a consistent finish without guesswork. It’s well-suited to small and medium gardens with open spaces or multiple areas.
It features a dual-blade system, quiet operation, and auto-docking for charging. You can manage settings, zones, and schedules through the Kress app. The KR161E is designed for users who want regular mowing without the hassle of manual control or wire installation.

The KR161E is a compact wire-free mower that uses RTKn positioning for precise, low-maintenance cutting. While setup is straightforward, a few accessories can help extend performance, simplify upkeep, and improve signal reliability.
To mow with high accuracy, the KR161E depends on RTKn correction data. If signal coverage is weak in your area, a small base station can be added to provide stable correction for consistent mowing.
A simple weather cover protects the charging dock from rain, direct sun, and debris. It’s a smart add-on to extend hardware life, especially if your dock is installed in an exposed area.
Spare blades are useful to keep cuts clean and reduce wear on the motor. A quick-clean brush or scraper helps remove grass build-up from the underside during weekly maintenance.
During first-time setup, basic ground flags or markers help guide zone mapping through the Kress app, especially in gardens with trees, slopes, or border plants.
GroundTech can fully install the KR161E for you — including RTK signal testing, zone mapping, and charging dock placement. Email [email protected] or use the contact form below to request installation.
Operating autonomously for up to 24 hours a day, allowing each task to be completed at a time that best suits you and your schedule and alleviating the pressure on manual labour.
The light footprint of the robot allows it to work on even the softest ground, retaining the playability and presentation of your facility no matter the challenges posed by mother nature.
Engineered to not only save on fuel and staff hours, GroundTech’s robotic solutions deliver a precise cut and quality finish worthy of first-class sport or picture-postcard experiences.
The hood and main body of the robot is insulated to deliver efficiency and effectiveness with minimal noise – ideal for working at night or in built up areas with no disruption.Â
The robot consumes up to 90% less energy than a standard mower. In addition, the clippings returned to the surface can also reduce the requirement for fertiliser and other chemical applications.Â
Mowing more frequently and consistently will being multiple benefits to the turf surface. A ‘little and often’ approach improves presentation, increases sward density & prevents weed ingress.
When you choose GroundTech, you not only receive access to the most innovative robotics on the market, you benefit from over 20 years of expertise in the grounds maintenance industry. That’s the GroundTech Difference.
