KR172E
Instructed by the Kress RTKn network, it navigates your lawn with centimeter-level accuracy. No need for boundary wire nor fixed reference antenna to be installed in the lawn. The dead reckoning algorithm ensures accuracy where lines of sight to the satellites are blocked by trees and buildings. Operated by the MAP (Mowing Action Plan™) technology, it efficiently manicures lawns up to 3000 ㎡ (2000 ㎡ recommended).
The Kress KR172E Mission RTKn 2000 is a robotic mower for lawns up to 2,000m². It works without perimeter wire by using RTKn satellite navigation. Once the area is mapped, it runs on its own with minimal input, cutting in straight lines and covering every zone.
Designed for medium-sized gardens, the KR172E runs using RTKn (Real-Time Kinematic network) for precise guidance. No boundary wire is needed—setup is done digitally through the Kress system. The mower follows a mapped path instead of moving randomly, cutting more efficiently and finishing faster.
It includes a dual-blade system, strong rear drive wheels, and a brushless motor. It’s built to handle slopes and edges while staying quiet enough for use at any time of day. All settings, zones, and schedules can be managed from the Kress app.

The KR172E provides a solid mid-range option for homeowners who want a wire-free setup with precise mowing patterns. While it comes ready to run, a few accessories help fine-tune the setup and improve long-term performance.
The mower needs access to a stable RTKn signal for best performance. If your area has patchy coverage, a compatible RTK base station ensures the mower stays locked into its mowing path without drifting.
To protect the dock and keep performance consistent, we recommend a weatherproof shelter. This helps avoid charging faults caused by heavy rain or debris buildup.
For consistent cut quality, spare blades should be kept on hand. A soft brush or cloth for cleaning the deck area helps keep the mower running efficiently—especially during wetter months.
If your 2,000m² garden includes several mowing zones, simple flags or temporary markers make it easier to map these during initial setup in the Kress app.
GroundTech offers a full installation service for the KR172E — from RTK signal setup to guided zone mapping. Email [email protected] or use the form below to request a hassle-free installation.
Operating autonomously for up to 24 hours a day, allowing each task to be completed at a time that best suits you and your schedule and alleviating the pressure on manual labour.
The light footprint of the robot allows it to work on even the softest ground, retaining the playability and presentation of your facility no matter the challenges posed by mother nature.
Engineered to not only save on fuel and staff hours, GroundTech’s robotic solutions deliver a precise cut and quality finish worthy of first-class sport or picture-postcard experiences.
The hood and main body of the robot is insulated to deliver efficiency and effectiveness with minimal noise – ideal for working at night or in built up areas with no disruption.Â
The robot consumes up to 90% less energy than a standard mower. In addition, the clippings returned to the surface can also reduce the requirement for fertiliser and other chemical applications.Â
Mowing more frequently and consistently will being multiple benefits to the turf surface. A ‘little and often’ approach improves presentation, increases sward density & prevents weed ingress.
When you choose GroundTech, you not only receive access to the most innovative robotics on the market, you benefit from over 20 years of expertise in the grounds maintenance industry. That’s the GroundTech Difference.
